My JOURNEY

Hi, welcome to my site and thank you for visiting. I am Allison Smith, a Lead / Sr. UX UI Designer where I have been working in this space for approximately 10+ years. My biggest passion is understanding the users needs and solving complex problems.
 
Every project has given me an awesome opportunity to explore different users needs, and come up with intuitive solutions while also managing the design process in sometimes ambiguous environments. All of which has led me to never fear, and always take initiative.

My last position was at Kroger Company, as a contractor, as their Lead Product Designer for their E2E - B2B Fresh Reporting Initiative. The framework, a SaaS application using Microsoft Power BI (PBI), allowed me to learn the limitations and possibilities of PBI. I was able to design a dynamic dashboard that allowed the business to efficiently make business decisions specific for the Enterprise Fresh Initiative Goals. Much of my role was working closely with users and the development team on user needs, design solutioning based and helping the developers with design deployment. I am also famous for doing presentations to internal teams on deployment updates, design processes for product and other hot topics when needed.

I have worked specifically in Operations for approximately 10 years and prior to that I have worked in various industries including the US Army (contractor), Health Insurance, and Pharmaceutical. I have a wealth of experience and would love to become a full time employee with your team.
